project examples

analysis of the knowledge organization

We have done, and still are doing, a large number of knowledge management analyses for different companies and departments of these companies. An analysis consists of a preliminary meeting and session, an online survey, discussion of the survey with the respondents and a final report (with the possibity of follow-up interviews and advice). These analyses provide the companies with valuable insights in the role of knowledge within their organisation, communication and collaboration. Based on the results, several companies started with the development of an integral knowledge strategy and other projects, supported by Co-Capacity.

dealing with an ageing workforce

One of the big challenges for the Dutch maritime industry, as is true for a range of sectors, is overcoming the problem of an ageing workforce, and especially the potential loss of knowledge. Co-Capacity conducted a thorough study of this issue, and developed a guideline for companies on how to deal with this potential knowledge loss. We are now supporting a number of maritime companies on this subject by creating tailored action lists and accompanying methods and procedures.

information management in the maritime sector

One of Co-Capacity’s projects in the maritime sector is on information management. Several companies of the Integraal Samenwerken programme are experiencing problems with the sharing, saving, rights and disclosure of information. Co-Capacity helps them in finding the right solutions, which go beyond choosing the right software. This also entails organisational structures, procedures and rules, culture and attitude.

knowledge strategy development

Co-Capacity supports a range of companies in the development of their strategic knowledge plan or paragraph as integral part of their business strategy. This can be done through workshops or a full process involving all key players. We also developed a Knowledge Management strategy guideline for the companies participating in the Integraal Samenwerken programme. The guideline helps companies through a number of steps to develop an integrated knowledge management strategy. Several companies now have a full fledged integral knowledge strategy, while we are supporting others in their development.
